Trying to convince my boss to get a case for the office from Sazerac as we work with them already. I’m a Scotch drinker, but I’m eager to try the PvW.
Never tried that stuff but a colleague from California just told me he bought a 23 year old for a 1000 USD. Thats gross, I can get a Macallan 18 from 1967 (my birth year) for that money…would be curious to try a sip though.
By the way, Scotch collecting is all the rage in Switzerland now. Macallan is the prime suspect. The now discontinued 18 yr bottles from 1996 and 1997 are nowhere to be found… Even the simple 12 yr Sherry Cask is getting very expensive ( I mean, relatively) after they apparently discontinued that line in Europe. I heard it is still sold in the US. But, Bourbon is just a no go for an respectable collector
