Chicagoan's- Rhys tasting??

I’m in if there is room.

I’d like to +1, if possible.

Kinda want to limit this to 12 max…10 better- just for a decent pour. Seem we always have one or two drops. Or get more interest and have a couple tables.

I have interest but do not know my travel schedule just yet. Being Thursday, shouldn’t be an issue.

Jay,
Please put me on the wait list / table two (as a single). Have Rhys going back to 2007 (now finding specific bottles is a different matter…some are offsite).

Cheers,
JP

Anyone have a contact at Sun Wah? I will do the leg work- but if anyone has suggestion, let me know.

Also- I am pretty sure stems will be needed.

I don’t have a contact at Sun Wah but would be happy to make the call. Yes, stems will be needed. They don’t have the appropriate stems.

Ask for Kelly at Sun Wah.

I would be interested if space opens up. I picked up on the list starting with some 09s, but can look to source from earlier if preferred.

I have to bow out - can’t make it work. I’ll open a 2006 Alpine in absentia.

You’re in

Great, how’s about I bring—

2004 Rhys Chardonnay Alpine Vineyard
and
2004 Rhys Pinot Noir Home Vineyard

Ok just found out- Sun Wah is closed on Thursdays - so…Friday 7/18?

That Friday is going to be tough for me; the one before works (7/11), or maybe find another venue for 7/17, as all can definitely make it then?

Any day / option above would work for me.

Can’t make the 18th
so count me out

The 18rh works for me if we’re still shooting for Pinot and duck.

I am still in for the 18th (but currently wait listed. Please let me know when confirmed). I can bring a 2011 Rhys Pinot Horseshoe Vineyard or fill in. Thanks.

Cheers,
JP

I am good anywhere on either night at this time.

the 17th would still be the best night for me. We can do this at Anna’s Asian Bistro in the West Loop for $0 corkage.

If it’s still for the 17th, Tim Moll would be interested as well

Anna’s has a room we can reserve for free so long as we guarantee a minimum spend.

The food is better at sun wah though. Anna’s is more pan-Asian (some sushi, Korean, Thai, Chinese, etc.).
