$9000

$9000? for what?

can you be specific with what you are offering, quantity, item, packaging, your location, etc…

a mag of 2012 screagle- i am selling for $9000

how many do you have?
does it include an OWC?
WHERE ARE you located? City is enough?

I have 1. OWC included. Located in SF.

Thank you,
I may include your bottle with the others we are offering,
however, I think we will be lucky if our in the UK. client even agrees to the bottles we have been offered at $8,000. and we will offer at $8,800.
Your bottle would be more than $1,000 higher and I do not expect we will succeed at that price.

Yours is not the highest price we’ve been offered, someone else on this site offered at $10K… we will not bother to offer that.
Thanks
Wg

No worries. Happy to hold onto it for the kids’ college fund.

Thanks for the offer

your welcome. thanks for the consideration.

We were able to purchase 2 Magnums, 2012, @ $6,250, so that will be our future target price.
Thanks

Negotiations should probably be kept on a PM chat (although it is entertaining).

William, if your “target” price is $6,500, why not say that up front so people don’t waste their time sending you an offer for $10K and $9K that you clearly won’t accept? I don’t really understand the approach.

Just my opinion.

I really hope you can turn a decent profit off of the WB’ers selling you wine at a discount that you resell to your clients! Best of luck with this business model!!!

+1. This just doesn’t sit well with me. Not nescisarily wrong but seems to be missing the sprit of Commerce Corner in my opinion.

Paging Patrick Chapman…

This is not within the spirit of WB commerce corner? Are you kidding?
Our commercial relationships are coming in offering us (in the past hour I have learned from our buyer) Magnums of 2012 at $6,000, $6,250, $6,500 and $6,750.
From members on this site they are asking or offering Magnums at $9K and $10K and you think there is some ‘socialist’ or friendly spirit herein?
All of the wines we have sought out on this site, we receive half are reasonable offers and half are offers above the market, so what spirit are we discussing?
You want to have a conversation on the merits of selling wines for profit? I’m the bad man because I am engaged in a business that makes a profit on distributing wine?
Or the folks who are on mailing lists and offer to me are the bad men? Or they are being taken advantage of by me because I make a profit?

So you want that the only transactions that take place vis - a - vie this site are for personal use and no financial gain?
Or just a commercial establishment should not make a profit and my profit is exploitation?

Billy,

We get it. You’re “in the business” as they say. I’m all for capitalism and making a profit, but I think it rubs members the wrong way when you blatantly advertise the margins you are making when you flip these from Berserkers to retail. For the most part, deals that transact on Commerce Corner are below market pricing, which typically ends in a win/win for both buyer and seller.

You will probably have better success on this board if you A) state from the beginning what you are willing to pay; and B) don’t advertise how much you are going to sell these for once acquired from a Berserker willing to sell to you below market.

Just my two cents

Now, had you been a contributing member here like say, Ray Walker, I guess I could excuse the commercial nature of your posts?

OK, maybe not the best example there…

Continue on your trophy hunts.
