I’m a third generation vintner in Napa Valley. After we sold our family winery, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, my wife and I started our own wine brand called Hensel West. With long-time Joseph Phelps winemaker, Ashley Hepworth, we’re sourcing fruit from many of the same vineyards and families that my grandfather worked with in the 1970s-1990s (Tench, Sleeping Lady, Steltzner, and Hyde). We have four daughters, a golden retriever, and we love to drink Chablis, Syrah, Napa Cab and Tequila!
