I have been drinking / collecting for about 25 years now and have landed in a zip code that I would describe as New World wines with an Old World sensibility. For example Oregon & Santa Rita Hills Pinot noir, cooler climate Syrah, Napa and Santa Cruz Cabs / blends with lower ABV etc . My top holdings include Ridge, Dragonette, Holus Bolus, and Goodfellow / Kelley Fox / Patricia Green as some examples. I tend more toward local producers since I can visit them and match the wines with the place. I have about ~650 bottles and have set a goal to stay roughly flat year-over-year (!)
