Zachys Italian Tasting (5/6): Brunello, Barbaresco & Barolo

Anyone else attending Zachys/Suckling’s Brunello, Barbaresco & Barolo tasting at City Winery next week? While I am familiar with some of the big name producers that will be pouring, I have little to no experience with many of them and would be eager to hear others’ thoughts on who they would prioritize, as there’s no way I’ll be able to make it through them all. Thanks.

Agostino Bosco, Aldo Conterno, Argiano, Banfi, Biondi Santi, Bruno Giacosa, Ca’ Viola, Campogiovanni (San Felice), Canalicchio di Sopra, Caparzo, Caprili, Casanova di Neri, Cascina Adelaide, Castiglion del Bosco, Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona, Damilano, Elvio Cogno, Fontanafredda, Fuligni, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, Gianni Gagliardo, Giovanni Rosso, La Rasina, La Spinetta, Lisini, Livio Sasseti, Marchesi di Barolo, Marchesi de Frescobaldi, Mate, Mauro Molino, Michele Chiarlo, Oddero, Parusso, Pio Cesare, Podere La Vigna, Prunotto, Renato Ratti, Roberto Voerzio, San Polino, Siro Pacenti, Tenute Silvio Nardi, Tony Sasa, Uccelleria, Valdicava

I’d add Parusso and Valdicava to those listed above … [cheers.gif]

I’ll be there pouring with Andrea Bosco (Bosco Agostino) so I hope all WBers in attendance will come say hello! Andrea has really stepped up his game in the last couple of vintages, using only neutral oak and it’s a great chance to taste not only the well established Cru of La Serra, but also his wonderfully aromatic Verduno Cru, Neirane.
Looking forward to meeting some folks!

George

No one else going?

I will attend. Looking forward to try some Brunellos!!

I will be there tasting. I would bring the Berserker Helmet, but I just don’t feel like crashing someone else’s party.
