I started with the Parker board list and then added some based on comments and a scan of bottles and tasting notes in Cellartracker. I will be interested to see how it corresponds to the other list here:

My summary of the Parker board numbers here:

No votes for Domaine Serene yet. Gordon must be on vacation.

Chris, fyi, each time you change it, the votes get reset - I recommend not changing it once you post the poll…

Thanks, I had to make a quick change at first because I had Stoller in twice but hopefully it was fast enough not to wipe anybody’s votes out!

Please add Willamette Valley Vineyards so I can vote for them!

Why? [berserker.gif]

Why don’t you ask me which one of my children is my favorite as well. neener

Don’t worry…although I hate the pretentiousness of their tasting room…I had to put them in my 5

Ditto

Got my vote in now! neener

Bump – we need more voters here!

Though I voted for both, I do find it strange that JKC gets fewer votes thus far than Ken Wright. I love Ken’s wines, but only buy a bottle or two of any given wine and because of the synthetic closure, won’t take it more than 5 years from vintage date. I guess JKC suffers from lack of distribution, etc and the fact that most of his limited bottlings (single vineyards) are typically less than 100 case production. Can’t beat the customer service however.

I really don’t get all the votes for Antica Terra on both boards. 2 Vintages and only a few wines. No doubt the quality is there and I assume the wines progress well but it is pretty early in the game. If 2 years is enough, I am not sure why Zenith is not on there. Great pinots from great fruit and they even have Tempranillo.

Jason

It’s the winemaker,Jason.

Ok, she’s not ugly…but HOT?

I mean she’s no

and I won’t drink any of Enrica’s wines unless I was tied down and it was force fed to me.

I’d love to try a Thomas pinot. I guess securing one is next to impossible?

I’m just the messenger here.

Wow, I’ve barely heard of half of these. I knew I should have gone to Pinot Camp last year. Those folks up there need to get some distribution.

Tough to get distribution when there’s little or nothing to distribute. Evesham Wood and Belle Pente are fairly good-sized for Oregon producing 4-5000 cases a year, which isn’t a lot for the whole country, and Seven of Hearts is around 1000 for now. But to get extreme . . . how thinly, in John Thomas’ instance, can you spread 400 cases?

Why distribute if you can sell the majority of your wine in Oregon?
