Your top 3 Napa Cabs in the $150 to $225 range

Way less mention of carter than I expected

No, they only make their Oakville (To-Kalon, but it doesnā€™t say it on the label).

  1. Corison Kronos
  2. Dominus
  3. Heitz Marthaā€™s or Kapcsandy

Maybach Materium
Myriad Elysium
Roy Piper

You can seek it, but it will cost you: the 2013 goes for around $600.

I passed on an offer from MacDonald this year, my first since the original offer. Really wanted to try one, but couldnā€™t stretch for a 3-pack and Iā€™m not interested in flipping.

Nobody has said Staglin?
Iā€™m surprised.

Iā€™m surprised too. Iā€™m also surprised at the lack of love for Spottswoode. No mention of Pulido Walker which I think is the best TRB wine outside of Schrader.

I like this list because at wine dinners my 2008 Napa Cab came in ahead of the 2008 Maybach and my 2010 Coombsville Reserve came in ahead of the 2010 MacDonald, so I feel like Iā€™ve done something right in winemaking. flirtysmile

Iā€™m getting the sense that folks like MacDonald.

les pavots in not napa in terms of grape juice

Also a great list!

Your list is perfect, wines with a solid track record.

Would like to try McDonald sometimeā€¦

Well, they have the value menu so itā€™s cheap to try them out.

If you wanted to try MacDonald ( neener ), I bet somebody would be interested in a swap as Schrader is in the same league.
