Oklahoma is excellent. Small intimate theater in the round. A somewhat more modern update to the original, with no changes to the music or dialogue. My wife and I both loved it and we sent friends from out of town who also thought it was terrific.
Thanks for the recall. She wants to see Beetlejuice for sure. Any thoughts on hotels?
Look for hotels in Queens, around Astoria, Flushing, or Long Island City.
Quick and safe subway ride into Manhattan, but much cheaper accommodations.
Not quite sure I would say Oklahoma is close to the theatre district.
Thinking about a couple days trip to NYC for a Christmas gift for the daughter. I’m thinking Dec 21-23rd or 26-28 She is really into musicals any recs on where to stay in or close to the theater district that is not too pricey?

In fact, Ohio is closer.

What have you seen?
She’s seen Hamilton, Mean Girls, Waitress, Come from Away, Once on This Island, Wicked, Dear EH, wants to see Beetlejuice!
Hadestown is worth seeing.
Oh, and if she hasn’t seen Book of Mormons, she should even though it’s been around forever.

How is the current production of Once on this Island? I loved the original production and saw it three times but by the third time it had deteriorated markedly and wasn’t very good.

We saw it in Dayton a few weeks ago. I liked it, she loved it, I didn’t have a comparison though.
