2013 Crane Lake Merlot 1.5L. Someone brought it to a holiday party we hosted in December.
2014 Amici Cellars Chardonnay Olema CT 87.3
Many without notes or scores, but I think the lowest is 80.5 for:
1980 Ridge Claret Langtry Road
2014 Chateau LâOiseau, Bordeaux Superior - 83 pts.
I gave it an 86 because it improved on the second day.
The one other reviewer gave it an 80 with a decent note.
2013 Red Tail Ridge Winery Miscreant RTR Vineyard 80.5.
Its brought down because it is a skin-contact wine, with a slightly oxidative character so its not âeasyâ. Actually really neat wine. Three notes, two scores. One person gave it a 70, another a 91. The third note was very positive but no score. I didnt score it when I tasted it, but I would have been a lot closer to the 91.
Iâve got an '05 JM Bouley Clos de Chenes that has an 83, which sounds about right based on the bottle that I opened. Next up is a 2015 Baudry Chinon Les Granges with an 85, which I find laughable, despite the warm summer.
2004 Ernesto Catena Syrah Siesta en el Tahuantinsuyu
Comes in at an 82. Iâm holding one of the last three in any CT memberâs cellars!
2015 McKinlay Pinot Noir Willamette Valley 82 points
I have not tasted mine yet, but would probably rate a bit higher as I like their wines which are toward the AFWE style which may not appeal to others as much as they do to me.
2000 Louis Jadot Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles-St.-Jacques 87.2pts
With more than one tasting note and score - 2012 Château Doisy-VÊdrines Sauternes, 89.1
Iâll forego the usual grumble about the futility of points, in general and on CT.
I did however raise a wry smile when I check CT. The lowest wine is a lighter but tannic wine, that I find quite appetising, but I can easily see how people would dislike it. Similarly I suppose, next from the bottom was a wine I really have a strong affinity for, Chateau Lamartine Cahors (standard bottling, not the cheaper Benjamin, nor the more expensive cuvees). Again a wine with plenty of grip and fruit that is bright but not bold. With a decade or more on them, I really find these wines appetising.
This latter one does especially reinforce my grumpiness about scoring.

2011 Cakebread Cellars Syrah - USA, California, Napa Valley (12/14/2013)
A friend brought this over for dinner. It was awful - nose and taste was smoky with a bite on the back end (this was not tainted - had just delivered through friendâs wine club). At $50, itâs an embarrassment that Cakebread is selling this wine at this price. POOR. (75 pts.)

My lowest is 2012 Maison Ilan Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Chaffots at 83.5
2010 Bernard Dugat-Py Vosne-RomanĂŠe Vieilles Vignes 80 points
Apparently the wine is deadâŚ
2013 Domaine Guion Bourgueil CuvĂŠe Prestige
1/3/2016 - TINAVV WROTE: 80 Points
Very good
As previously mentioned, many unscored due to young age, etc.
Two lowest CT scored wines:
2012 Pax Syrah Griffinâs Lair - 83 score, 6 notes, 3 scores; this will be better than that
2005 Château du Grand Bol - 85.9 score, 7 notes, 7 scores; this I trust and scores increasing with age.
My wine with the lowest average CT rating is the Brezza Barolo Cannubi. Pretty bleak assessment:
84 - âHad this wine as a experiment to see if a 2010 (great vintage), Cannubi (great vineyard) is the receipt to do a great wine. Itâs not.â
I havenât tried any of my 4 bottles yet.
Crap, I have 2 bottles of this. May have to save for Christmas gifts. ![]()
Not too bad⌠Shebang! Ninth Cuvee red blend NV rated at 87.4. I rated 88.
2014 Ferdinando Principiano Langhe Nebbiolo Le Coste CT84 without a note. As the picture on the page shows a completely different wine (2014 Langhe Rosso) I am not sure how trustworthy rating this is. This happens every now and then on CT that I am left wondering whether a score/note is for the right wine indeed.
The second place is a three-way tie (CT86) between 2011 P. Dubreuil-Fontaine Père & Fils Volnay, 2015 Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Gelblack trocken and 2013 Domaine Michel Briday Rully 1er Cru Gresigny. No idea about the others but I am quite sure I am gonna get plenty enjoyment out of the Volnay.
