Your Location in Subject Line (suggestion to sellers...)

Just a suggestion (unless there is a sensible reason to do otherwise), can I suggest that sellers include a brief location abbreviation in their subject line?

Some folks don’t even include their location in the body of their message.

Speaking only for myself, I’m much more interested in buying locally (Connecticut, NYC to Boston corridor) and meeting for a pick-up than dealing with shipping. (Especially if the wine is just something I’m maybe sorta interested in.)

Again, speaking only for myself, I’m more likely to open local/regional posts. And I am not going to waste time with e-mails asking someone’s location, if it isn’t clear.

Just trying to help the market move more efficiently…

+1. great idea. or at least put this information in the body of the post … perhaps listing locatio in the subject would lead people to believe that the seller is only willing to deal with locals when that isn’t necessarily true. either way, location of the seller is important … I would pretty much never consider purchases that aren’t local.

excellent idea!.. or, like Brian said, in the body of the post
