Wow! this is great stuff.
Incredible detailed smell of liquorice, asphalt, cedar, smoke, freshly grounded coffe beans, high quality soysauce and a whiff of leather as well. The taste is silky, yet with a perfect mariage of power and elegance, extremely long (at least one minute) and multidimensional aftertaste with some tannins in the finish. still primary but with incredible potential. Profound! 96+ points

While I haven’t tried it, I have high hopes as apparently Jaboulet is back in line with their previous greatness.
How big was the structure?
The next day it was even better. More nuances had appeared. I think it will develop into a GREAT La Chapelle. But patience is recuired.
'05s are going for $82 at JJbuckley through Andy.
David (or anyone),
