Well, not quite as scary as Ebola, but yeah, I see what you’re saying.
In some ways, this mirrors the emerald ash borer’s effect on American ash trees, except that ash trees have about 100% mortality.

I wonder if that’s the same problem they’ve been having up in Virginia:
