How has this thread made it this far with no mention of popovers?
My wife makes popovers all the time. Had no idea that was a supper club thing.
What’s the best/closest one to Chicago? Will likely need a hotel rec if Old Fashioneds are in play…
As a review: I dined at Lehman’s Supper Club last week in Rice Lake and was overly disappointed. Like most old people, I like to dine early and take my time. The prime rib was not ready yet at 4:30pm so I was forced to order off the menu. They had no ribeyes, although prime rib is their specialty. I ordered a large strip steak and was very unhappy with the tough piece of steak I was presented. The “relish” tray at the beginning of the meal consisted of 2 carrot sticks, a cube each of cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple with an onion. The wine list was so poor that I considered ordering a glass of Corbett Canyon, but couldn’t. $5 bar rail gin and tonics seemed a little high priced. The soup was acceptable.
