Thank You. Please ship when the bottles will not become teacicles. NY as been brutally cold the last few days
Interesting. Have to try these.
Looking forward to it not being below freezing every freaking day so these can ship! ![]()
My D-I-L is from Shuangpai in China and she gets me Puh er discs and bullets from her family. I think her aunt has a teas farm, and I drink about a quart of tea every day. So what the hell. I’ll try.
I’ve read so many great things about your tea through the Napa Valley Wine Group. Just grabbed a six pack and looking forward to experiencing!
I’m intrigued. Do these have caffeine in them? Asking because my wife doesn’t do well with caffeine in the evening.
Thank you so much, Pat! I really appreciate it ![]()
Here’s also a lovely quick listen that really drives home this wonderful synergy and similarity between the world’s of tea: Adventures in Tea, The Splendid Table with Henrietta Lovell
It’s a really fun listen as wine lovers! Cheers
Gotta say, I am very intrigued. Our order is in.
Order placed! My wife and I have been on a tea kick lately, and since she doesn’t drink and I drink a lot of sparkling wine, this is perfect. Can’t wait to try in a few months when it’s warm enough to ship!
Same, I’m always looking for some nonalcoholic options for family and social gatherings. @EllisonW please forgive me if it’s mentioned upthread, do you have any distribution nationally? How about Texas in particular?
Hi, John! Yes, all true tea inherently contains caffeine. One hearty glass of Susurrus contains less than half the amount of caffeine as coffee. However, the delivery and experience of tea’s caffeine is extremely different than that of coffee, espresso or soda. Both in how it is absorbed by the body and because of the overall composition of tea.
Here’s why:
Tea is the only plant to naturally synthesize L-Theanine - often taken as a supplement or added to functional beverages - and it has profound calming effects and supports healthy sleep cycles.
The L-theanine and the antioxidant-rich polyphenols (tannins) of tea also help contribute to the slow, methodical absorption of caffeine. So, unlike coffee, you never get that uncomfortable rush or crash from the rollercoaster of caffeine. It’s more like floating along a calm, focused stream.
I am also caffeine sensitive and have enjoyed bottles of Susurrus with many meals and late into the evening as a “night cap” after drinking and have no sleep disruption. If anything, a glass of sparkling tea helps sober me up a bit sometimes before bed for a better night’s rest after a big, fun meal with lots of wine.
I hope this is helpful!
Really helpful! Thank you! Gotta try some. In for 6
Hi, J!
I just launched Susurrus earlier this month so distribution is on the way! I am working right now to open numerous states, Texas included.
Don’t hesitate to ask around for it with somms and in bottles shops - the more requests for it by collectors, the faster distributors are at bringing product in ![]()
Cheers from Napa ![]()
Hi, B! I’m keeping an eye on the weather and will get your order out asap so you can begin enjoying some Sparkling Tea
especially the Osmanthus Golden Tip bottling (which is a type of black tea made solely from the tiny hand-picked bud of the tea plant) because I like to call it the “first kiss of autumn” and it is certainly cozier and richer in style, which is perfect for leaning into cozy weather. When spring arrives, you can pivot to the Magnolia Oolong, which I refer to as “dewy springtime sunshine,” since it is super bright, floral and refreshing.
Amazing, thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it ![]()
Fantastic, I can’t wait!
Pu-erh is so cool! I love the ageability of dark tea (and white tea too - I got some aged 2012 vintage Shou Mei recently and it was gorgeous - super viscous, nutty, with loads of dried apricot, peach and ripe pear). Really fun to experience tertiary characteristics in tea leaves as they oxidize and mature.
I hope you enjoy the Susurrus Sparkling Teas - they’re pure expressions of organic, harvest-dated, special grade of first-flush flower-scented teas directly imported from Fujian and Yunnan provinces of China.
Cheers from Napa! ![]()
I am putting in an order and the system is charging tax to Oregon where we don’t pay tax. How do we get this sorted out? Looking forward to trying these.
Hey, Mike! You got it - keeping an eye on the weather for you, especially while you all are getting pummeled by the “Arctic Blast,” which sounds like an evil villain. Won’t ship until it’s safe to do so!
Cheers from sunny Napa (don’t hate me) - stay warm ![]()
Hi, M! Thanks for letting me know - That is odd as I have the tax field set to 0% for OR. I just tried to replicate your issue by faking an order with a shipping address to OR but could not seem to replicate the Sales Tax issue you are having.
Have you been able to figure it out? Or are you still have this issue? Feel free to send me a screen shot if need be in case that helps - you can email me directly at “info@susurrusteas.com”
Cheers
OK fixed, for some reason it showed up as Portland, CA with the right zip code - all good now
