Any and all recommendations for wineries to visit while we are in the region are appreciated. I have about 7 days to tour a bit, so there should be plenty of time to get around a bit. What’s the easiest way to get around? We have a rental car, but was curious to know if there are other options that are convenient.

I just got back from Sicily last month. While we were there we visited Tenuta Della Terre Nere which is on the north side of Mt. Etna. I would highly recommend it. A great spot, lovely wines, and the prettiest vineyards anywhere!
I am glad you brought this up because I should have mentioned that I will be staying in Catania, so the Mt Etna area or somewhere on the Eastern side of the island would be ideal.
