Wineberserkers first EVER webcam'd wine tasting

I propose this boards first, and hopefully not last video linked-up webcam’d wine tasting, or as I like to call it, WBVLUWWT. Rolls off the tongue huh?

Here’s the plan: We meet here at a designated time with a previously chosen wine and taste it on camera in a webcam enabled chat room!!! Groundbreaking huh? Not really, but should be fun.

We can start with a wine many should either have or be able to easily get hold of. I propose Bogles new Phantom, but am sure open to recomendations from you.

The only thing I ask is that you actually participate when we start to go around the table… And that you are all fully clothed.
What say you?

Mao, please sticky this one, as I am sure it needs all the help it can get.

I know I drank a lot, but I seem to remember us having a webcam at the last Flanneryfest in Dallas.

Good idea though Mike…keep thinking.

Not linked to any offline Steve. We had a WB webcast just last week at SLONYC One. In my mind, this is a better idea since the watching of someone elses offline can be a close second to watching your 80 year old neighbor park his Cadi in a spot where a Corolla barely fits.

Please keep me updated on when your doing this…it’s a great opportunity to clean my house.

I like the idea, but finding a resource for the video-enabled chat might be, um, interesting, as I would expect most of the providers to be rather significantly centered in the ‘meet new singles in your area’ type of industry.

Feel free to find a resource for such a system, as I’m sure we could get several of us (obviously not Melissa) to participate.

I’ve heard some retailers and even some wineries out your way in New Yawk are doing such things these days. Maybe you could talk to them and see how its working out?

You can do a Skype video conference. That’s probably the easiest isn’t it?

I will look into it.

is this so that you can say…i don’t drink alone? [dance-clap.gif]

Skype video would work
and, those with a Mac can do this via iChat.

iChat can handle multiple entries, in one room?

I think so Todd. If you have an intel chip I think you can get 3 people at once. I think…

So what’s up?

I have not found a free option for 20/30 people
