WineAccess Thread - Wines, Tasting Notes, Deals, etc

I upped my order of 6 to 12 and bought a 2nd case. Yes, WineAccess is FULL of hyperbole but even they haven’t sent an offer like this before. Sure, they regularly tell us $100, $200 but $500+? Also their tasting notes for the wine sound solid. Will be fun to put in the off site storage with de Negoce and see how it ages.

You must have wine to last several lifetimes at this point!

This wine so very tempting though…probably going to have to pull the trigger here myself!

Apparently Amanda McCrossin (former Wine Director at PRESS Napa Valley) had the opportunity to get early access to taste the Yesterday CS and she says that it’s the “real deal”.

Given her experience in Napa wines, I trust her palate. I’m in for 4 more bottles.

She is now affiliated with Wine Access - 'In July, Wine Access will introduce a podcast hosted by Amanda McCrossin, sommelier and former wine director of Press Napa Valley."

That was something I wasn’t aware of, but regardless, I’ve been following her for a number of years and have enjoyed her recommendations before in regards to Napa Cabernet, so I’ll still trust her palate. Of course, when the wine arrives in the Fall, we’ll all have our own opinions and hopefully the wine is good. If not, then I guess I’ll have extra to cook with.

Frank if you don’t mind me asking, where did you hear that she said it’s “the real deal”? Directly from her or 2nd hand? Just curious context.

She just mentioned that it was “going to FLY” and that “yes, [she] got early access to taste it… [and] it’s the REAL DEAL”.

As with all recommendations, take with a grain of salt until you try it for yourself, but I’m thinking that with her experience with Napa wines, it’s at least pushing me to buy more.
