It could rise to the state of a truism!
an image truly too horrible to contemplate!
It’s ok, it’s just more work for me if it does again!! And I’m kinda bored now that BerserkerDay is over!
You bad talk Baudry, he calls your bow technique subpar, someone says something about someone’s mamma, and empty bottles start being thrown.
I’ve seen this movie 1,000 times….
I used to believe this.
Now I think it’s completely incorrect.
I think this all depends on whether or not someone wants to judge wine objectively or not. There is no right way to do it as a civilian (obviously wine professionals should be able to remove personal bias when judging a wine).
For me, I’m relatively early in my wine journey, so I simply have not tried enough ‘great versions of wines I don’t like’ to be able to, but also, I don’t have a strong desire either. That’s not to say that I don’t want to expand my palate or try new things, but more so that I want it to happen naturally. I work in a field that is similar to wine (audio) in that there are a huge amounts of appreciators but far less professionals, and so being able to judge this widely loved and consumed thing subjectively creates a new way of experiencing it altogether. For most, imo, this is far less satisfying than just being able to understand and appreciate.
The fewer bottles you have of a wine, the more likely it is to be corked.
One of my favorites, from our very own @Jay_Miller - fruit in wine is not necessarily a flaw. Hope i got that right or at least captured the essence, I believe I’ve been corrected in the past
Could be worse, just ask any one with certain white burgs
Ripe fruit is not necessarily a flaw.
The italics are mandatory
Reeducation is necessary
Apparently, I’ll try to keep it straight from now on at pain of drinking Marquis Philips Shiraz
Depends on the flaw(s)…..
+1 on decanting some whites.
Great advice , not quite sure it’s a truism.
That’s a very wine geeky joke
