My sister has rented a huge house on the beach in Destin the week of Memorial Day. I will be going to Pensacola, where my other sister lives, and we at some point will drive over to Destin for a couple of days. Is there anywhere in the area (not after Destin if coming from the west) worth shopping for wine? German wine a plus! Thanks
Wine world is around there, I’m not exactly sure where they are located. I believe @HoosJustinG used to be involved with that business but isn’t anymore.
The Wine Bar in Watercolor has a very good selection. You can also sit and have wine BTG along with food. It’s on 30A.
Thanks. I am mostly interested in having wine around the house for meals. There will be six wine drinking adults there.

wine world has a couple locations in that area and a small but decent selection. There is a total wine in Destin as well I believe. both actually deliver in the area.
I was there last year. Wine World has a very strong young Bdx selection at decent prices. All across the spectrum in price and including the 1st’s. Burgundy was more major negociant driven (think Buchard/Jadot) and I didn’t find anything interesting or it was over priced. CA/Or well represented but nothing geeky. I thought it was pretty good for a tourist area. If I was traveling dry I could totally finding something interesting; particularly bdx. Jsut a guess, but given your posts you won’t be too excited but you won’t be stuck drinking Camus either.
I spent most of my time at the Watercolo/Seaside store but the Destin store is homebase/larger so maybe better?
Just from a quick survey online it looks like your best bet is Total Wine in Destin especially for Germans
