Wine of the Month Clubs

my buddy wants to get a subscription/membership to one of these for his girlfriend and he asked me to recommend one…I couldn’t think of any and most of what I have heard is that they’re not very good…but maybe there is one that you know of…anybody have any good experience with any of these?

As I though of it, one that popped into my head was Vinfolio…anybody have any experience with their wine clubs?

Also, I suggested that he find a local retailer and try and set something up with them…he’s in Seattle, so if you can suggest a good place (we discussed Garagiste, but he wants the wine more immediately)

I’m normally against someone picking my wines for me, basically spending my $$.

Ridge, The Z-List, the ATP programs are the exception.
