Wine Berserkers saves Thanksgiving

Well not really, but I posted about a disappointing bottle of 92 Seavey I opened last thanksgiving TN: 1992 Seavey Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon (USA, California, Napa Valley) - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers, I never contacted the winery and today I get the following email from Alex at Seavey.

_"I just saw your posting on Wineberserkers regarding your experience with the 1992 Seavey Cabernet. The descriptors you used lead me to believe you received an “off” bottle. While we do everything in our power to age our wines in ideal conditions, individual bottles can occasionally be off. It sounds like this is is the case with the 1992 Cabernet you received.

You obviously did not have a good experience with the 1992 Seavey Cabernet you received and I wish to make that right with you. I am happy to do any of the following:

  1. Refund the monies for the 1992 Seavey Cabernet.
  2. Ship you another bottle of the 1992 Seavey Cabernet.
  3. Send you a different vintage of the Seavey Cabernet (of your choice), and refund or apply a credit for any remaining funds left over.
  4. Other

Again, I apologize for your poor experience with the bottle. We stand behind every bottle of wine we produce and provide, regardless of the vintage. Please let me know how I may honor the friendship you have extended to us here at Seavey Vineyard and I will personally see it done."_

I have been a fan of Seavey wines for some time, great people and the wines are usually outstanding (drank a 2003 Merlot that rocked Saturday). I would highly recommend a visit to them in the hills above St Helena. I also like that you can purchase previous vintages directly from the Winery
Again thank you Alex.

Love to read about businesses that get it. Thanks for sharing.

And thank you Wine Berserkers!
