Don’t really have a nightcap. I never have wine while cooking, it’s always with and after dinner. But dinner is usually after 8 pm. so it’s kind of nightcappy anyway. Sometimes we have a white or rosé after dinner with some crackers.
Night before last, I was out to dinner with a local wine friend and a couple of visiting wine professionals (one here to attend the Bordeaux event Calvert Woodley sponsored last night) and my local friend insisted we come over for a nightcap. He opened the 2014 Lafon Perrieres. It was really delicious! But not my usual nightcap (which tends to be Gerolsteiner).
