Boy that was fun. Dummy me didn’t spit or drink water or @J.Lopera hangover helper until I was mixing Tears of Llorona Tequila with it at 10pm. So, I wasn’t all spry this morning and this is really my first opportunity to dive into last nights event.
Thanks to @William_Segui for being the reason we did this in the first place . I’ve loved his wines from the beginning and it was great having him be a major part of the festivities. Big shout out of appreciation to my right hand man @Mike_Stoneking who helped with everything from setup to take down to taking leftovers home with him. You’re a gem Mike.
Then there’s the countless others who helped support with food, wine and friendship. @Jennifer_Hyer and @Brian_Bohr came equipped with a cheese and charcuterie array that would make any chef proud. Not to mention all the wines. @Ed_Steinway and his wife Becky brought the salad. Newbie @SusieG and her +1 bakery owner Brian Wood (Brian3 for the night) brought tremendous desserts and a slew off wines. Great to meet bith of you. Shameless plug for Starter Bakery of Berkeley. WOW!
@David_Baum and his friend Jeff won the most miles traveled award from flying up from San Diego beating out Brian, Jennifer and Mike.
@Richard_Albert brought Caprese skewers and wines. @Jidhin_R for bringing wines and for being a good friend. Appreciate you pal. @J.Lopera I hope you took lots of photos because some of mine were blurry and/or out of focus, kinda like I was at the end. @anthonyshideler for the salmon and wines. Loved having you. My neighbors Sue and Larry whom brought baked beans and a chocolate mousse pie that was decadent. Love you all!
One other note, @Steve_Titus couldn’t make it, he was already planning to come to Forestville to visit friends who live just up the road from me. I told him to invite them as well since one Halloween 10 or more years ago we were taking our Grand-daughter trick-or-treating and came across one home where their front yard landscaping featured not rocks or bark in the planted areas but wine corks. I took a picture and posted it here. Steve remembered the thread and brought it up. Seemed like those are people I want to know anyhow. Turns out the Wife is the accountant for my step-kids winery. Small world
