I agree 100%. I even hate the wax dot some producers put on the top of their corks. It is almost as annoying as the completely unnecessary giant fat glass bottles that are widely used. Producers love to claim how “green” they are and then ship ridiculously thick, heavy bottles, sealed with wax and packaged in wood boxes.

TLDR: writer has a hard time opening a wax capsule. Complains.
So far I’ve not been injured by a wax capsule, but I’ve received a few minor lacerations from foil capsules over the years.
I guess I’m in the pro wax camp.
