Doesn’t Kermit Lynch have a pretty good track record? I know he’s mostly an importer but he has a store too.
I like Daniel Posner (grapesthewinecompany). Constantly coming up with new and interesting wines, good info on the wines, good prices and great customer service.
Craig, to qualify, Kermit needs to be working on the floor, baby, at regular intervals.
Darrell Corti in Sacramento. Amazing, truly amazing.
Dan McCarthy in Seattle.
I second this!
Also a good choice!
I would have picked Stephen Bitterolf at Crush, before he left and started Vom Boden.
+1 great offerings at very good prices
Ian Dorin is still #1 in my book.
Daniel Posner is a close #2.
Wrong, you pick Bitterolf because he started Vom Boden. Correct, no?
Ian Dorin
Vom Boden is an importer. So wrong parameter. I do like the team at Crush still. I have great relationships with a couple and I like the way the store does business.

Charlie, ‘team’ at Crush doesn’t qualify. I need a name…
David Lille, Chambers Street Wines, NYC.
Best, Jim
Ian Dorin at Winelibrary.

Also John Truax at Chamber St. Ian Macfadden of Crush, Brian Mullaney of Zachys,
It’s unfair to a bunch of dedicated professionals to pick one, but Michael Quinlan at Table and Vine has always come through for me.
