Whoops! I thought I passed...TN: Turley Juveniles 2007

I guess there was a second round offering? I thought I passed but I went to the cellar to open a few boxes and there was a mixed case of Turley 07. Go figure.
The 07 Juvie is big even for a Turley juvie…smells more of syrah than Zin. Black fruits, plums, and black pepper with the zin spice to boot. Some nice oakiness in the nose too. The palate has ripe berries and cinnamon with some oak as well. Mind you I like oak. Grippy tannins but a finish in the short side with a bit of bitterness. Dare I say it? A little time would do this good. Good start for the 07s, finally! Best Juvie since 03.

Question…while investigating down there I found that I just got a six pack of assorted booker 30 months. I forgot I bought these…any info, tns on these?

I’ve had the Fracture and the Vertigo, but not the 30 of either. They should suit your palate nicely ( very concentrated dark fruit that really pushes the envelope)

We cracked an 07 Turley Juvenile a month or so ago and the friends we had over at the time all loved it. So did we as a matter of fact! Tasty stuff that will no doubt get better with time.

Wohoo! thanks for the heads up on the Bookers. I dont remember exactly why I decided on a six pack but more oak age usually = more stuff I like.

As for the turleys, Im psyched. every 06 save one I had sucked.

I think the 07s are a return to form. I already killed my juvies, as I wasn’t too excited by them, but I accidentally opened the dusi a few weeks ago (swore I pulled an 03), and it was rockin’. Looking forward to my first box of Booker next month.
