Hi all –
Just reviewing some bottles to pull out and taste later. I’m trying to match some bottles up to compare/contrast. In reviewing my maps, I notice that Meursault Perrieres and Puligny-Montrachet Perrieres are both approximately at the same elevation/slope but are separated by a parcel in Puligny.
Can anyone provide a history of the two, why they share a name and the differences to be expected from the wines? My feel is that the Meursault is more highly regarded, generally speaking. Can anyone confirm?
Thanks!
