Release/pickup weekends are coming up soon, I’m curious what are your favorite ones to attend and why?
I’ve only gone to a handful, but so far my favorite was when my friend brought me to the Cirq release: best food I’ve seen at an event, live music, relaxed vibe, generous pours, and Michael Browne was walking around chatting with the crowd.
Ridge Assemblage - amazing to see Eric and Paul being so accessible and knowledgeable. Tasting the components is not only interesting but also educational. Then the bonus of wonderful location, older Monte Bellos plus other pours and a great view!
Siduri Open House - unbelievable number of wines, ability to meet many of the growers and also taste older vintages.
Dehlinger Winery: the Fall pickup/release event is especially fun, good food and, of course, always fine wine, but in addition Carol Dehlinger always puts out her various squashes and pumpkins that she grows.
