What's up with 11' Tuscany?

I’ve been receiving several great deals on the vintage, just today I picked up il carbionne for $30!
I’ve heard this is a ‘hot’ vintage, is it 03’ hot or 07’ hot?
And how are the wines?
I always buy producer first so I feel comfortble with my purchases but I’m curious as to hear more…

Similar to 07 in their accessibility, but they (on balance) seem better structured. I tasted a lot of them at Vin Italy, and again a few weeks later in Tuscany.

Yes, producer first, as you say. I plan to buy quite a few of them. The few Riserva wines I tasted were superb.

Good to know, thoughts on sassicaia?

Many of the 2011s I have tasted have been very good.
