What's the best glass for sour beers? (cantillon, Drie Fonteinen, Tilquin)

I’m drinking Drie Fonteinen Odue Gueze from a Riedel Sommilier GC Burg glass…and wondering what’s the BEST glass you’ve had sours from? This may be the BEST I’ve had so far

I find tulip shaped glasses work well for most beers particularly sours.

I tend to grab the Teku, but the Burg glass is probably nice.

They seem undecided themselves:

My experience in Belgium is they go for what I think of as a pretty basic water glass as Roberto pictured. I’ve always assumed that was largely due to gueuze being around longer than stemware specific glasses. Seems to work fine though and i admit I do that on occasion as well.

Also stems from the time when gueuze was an everyday working man’s beer instead of the geeky beverage we know and love today.

If pressed, I would say the less carbonated and aromatic the gueuze the more prone I would be to use a straight sided tumbler. But any glass with gueuze in it is a good glass. [cheers.gif]

I really prefer a tulip for everything. Short of that I’ll go with a bordeaux glass. I’ll try a burg glass next time.
