What's drinking better of these Les Gaudichots?

I’m beginning to plan a burgundy tasting this spring/summer and hope to check in on the following:

2006 Nicolas Potel VR Les Gaudichots
2007 Nicolas Potel VR Les Gaudichots
2008 Forey VR Les Gaudichots

I have a feeling the Potels will be kinda meh, but I’m more curious about what’s probably drinking better at this point. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Even if you don’t have experience with these specific wines, any observations about 2006-2008 burgs would be most welcome.

Can’t advise re drinking but I have the 02 and 03 potel and the 07 and 08 le moine versions. Where/When are you planning the tasting?!

I have both the 2006 and 2007 Potel Gaudichots.

The 2007 is better wine to drink now and is more open and giving. The 2006 is between ok and good but not as good as the vineyard address would suggest it should be.

Hard to calibrate, but maybe you can compare vintages… I have been sampling through a batch of 2002 Forey and found it really transformed positively for my tastes between 20 and 23 years of age. Maybe that '08 will get there with air but it is just shy of that age now.

2006 Potel was good not great already 5y ago.
2007 might be totally mature, but haven’t had it.
I guess 08 Forey is still a bit structured.
2002 Potel was a great wine.

No specific date planned yet but will be in the Boston area!

I had the '06 two weeks ago. It’s just OK and won’t likely get any better.

Would love to join! Daughter studying in Boston and we’ll certainly be in the US around Easter next year.

What about the 05? Ready yet?

Not sure it ever will be. I opened this and a few of the '05 Potel VRs this year, all bought on release, and every single one of them had something go chemically wrong. Mute, stale fruit and inconsistent pigment from the top to bottom of the bottle. Never experienced this with anything else and don’t know what it is.

Thank you for the replies so far everyone! I’m not happy to read @Keith_Levenberg 's last note as I also have a 2005 Potel VR Petits Monts. Bummer!

Petits Monts was among my stinkers. Hope others’ bottles are better.

05 Potel I don’t know.
05 Marchand de Gramont YES, good
05 Forey … I doubt it …

I had a three pack of half bottles of the 07 Potel. The first bottle sometime around 2012 was medium body, and there was a little kaleidoscopic magical component to it even though it was a touch light. I open the second bottle about six months ago at a tasting that we drank overtime in the first pour was good like a 91 but it faded within an hour. Because of that, I drink the second bottle about two months ago and it was an off bottle. Hopefully this has a lot to do with being a half bottle.

Apologies but as a single-minded guy (troll?), whenever Gaudichots pops up I have to ask: we know Machard de Gramont owns part of the vineyard, but there is zero information about them on line. I have a couple bottles I’ve enjoyed and would love to know if anyone knows anything about their methods or philosophy beyond “organic.” And note, Domaine Machard de Gramont is not Domaine Bertrand + Axelle Machard de Gramont.

I’m going to pair my 04 Forey with 2020 Ultramarine…after seeing your CT note!
Hoping 11yrs more age has helped!
