A great answer

Jay - I hesitate to chime in since it has been a long time for this Knicks fan to find much enjoyment, only suffering. But I find myself thinking back on the Bernard King years (still my favorite player), drafting Ewing and the hope it brought though clouded by King’s knee, the Stark’s / OJ final before he melted down (I’m talking about Starks’ meltdown) and I begin to hope. Then Charles Smith, Spike Lee / Reggie Miller and all the rest seeps in and I hesitate.

So as I hope and pray that Wemby will not nullify Brunson’s drives / scores in the lane and the rest of the team stay poised, I think a 1989 Haut Brion is in order. A best of the best IMO.

After what I saw last night, Knicks fans should enjoy the next 3 days.

Knicks can exploit some things.

Brunson needs to distribute rather than score first and OG/Bridges/Hart/Shamut/Deuce need to be efficient in mid-range and from deep.

SA does turn the ball over.

Fox has to guard someone.

Who plays KAT when he’s beyond the arc?

Wemby is an unsolvable problem but is fatigue going to be a factor if Knicks get an early W? I do love Kornet so much.

Nothing special. I mean, it’s the Knicks.

Defense, physicality and make it a fast-paced game.
Knicks had upped their defense in the last 2 1/2 playoff series. They would need more of that against SAS.
Knicks is not a physical team, but would need some success in making hard contacts against a younger team.
Run, Knicks, run!

I missed game 1 of the Western Conference final but saw all of the other 6. The Knicks can’t run with the Spurs. Fox contributed a lot in game 7. That was the difference I think. Castle is fast and physical and gets position down low when the Spurs use the high post offense which they did quite a bit in game 7.

Harper is a handful and Carter Bryant isn’t far behind in short spurts Johnson was great last night even though he missed a lot of shots, and so was Champagnie.I hope the Knicks can re-live 73 and Walt Frazier can see another banner go up and you can all drink your special bottles. My mind says Spurs in 5.

I had it from Magnum in 2006 for my Birthday at a dinner with a variety of regulars. I was not overwhelmed. The 1999 Rayas was better, and I have hopes for the 2001.

As to who will win the game - - - I will root for the Knicks because I am a New Yorker, but I am very much a sports fan. Thus, I am glad that I will get to see Wemby at the beginning of what I expect will be a Jordan-like career if he can stay out of the injury tent.

Finally, someone who knows what it means to be a Berserker. I will also be drinking for dessert (if I can find it) a 2000 Zind Humbrecht Clos Jebsal SGN which had the longest finish I ever had. Glad someone else has a good sense of humor.

I should eat turkey stuffing in honor of Charles Smith!

Kudos to the Knicks.

Actually the Knicks sucked! Just lucky enough to beat all 8 Spurs players on the floor.

Good enough for me.

I think the Spurs played terribly, but the Knicks seemed to be too much for them. It reminded me a bit of game 3 in the Western Final.

Knicks didn’t play their best in Q1 to Q3, showing what I thought was the rustiness from 11 no-game days. Then in Q4, Spurs were overwhelmed by Knicks with their, and what experts everywhere referred to as “Weak East”, defense and offense. The role options in Knicks roster has been ignored by “experts” and showed last night with Hart’s 15 boards/4 steals, Mitchell’s defense and rebounds, Shamet, Alvarado, others.

Knicks and fans got distracted, disrupted, deprived and disappointed by the Diaper d0n.

well that was wild last night..switched to the NCAA Track Meet when knicks were down 29, had my daughter give me updates periodically, went back to the game when knicks got within 10 and stayed till the remarkable finish..was drinking an unremarkable Finger Lakes white, with Sesame Chicken for dinner during the first half chaos..Was drinking Pelligrino during the incredible comeback..GO KNICKS!!!
