Ridge uses American oak, as many Spanish wineries do, so those wines can share that distinctive vanilla/coconut element from the wood. And I can see how the texture at this stage could be like a CdP or an Aussie GSM – resolved tannins, lowish acid, lots of body and fruit.

Sadly, prices have gone up. I just got an offer today on the 2021 Ridge Lytton Springs at $50, from a retailer whose prices are generally very good. I paid $30-$32 for the 2018 and 2019, one of those from the same store!
