What’s your favorite wine for $15 or less?

Potzinger Sauvignon blanc (classic) … (Southern Styria, Austria) app.10-11€ .

In red:
Cotes-du-Rhone Vieilles Vignes, Domaine de Ferrand
or
Plan Pegau
… both 9-10 €

I find this interesting, as I very much like Pegau but never enjoyed the Plan Pegau. Perhaps I should try it again, as I know you are an extremely reliable source re. Pegau.

Plan Pegau is usually a blend of 2-3 vintages. It´s no great wine, but (imo) a very satisfying one - it has structure and a certain amount of depth - and I prefer it to the Cotes-du-Rhone Maclura of Château Pegau (which is 2 € more expensive). I drink it usually with a bit of age … I´ve always got a few cases at home … so no hurry … and yes, opening it a bit in advance.

If you mean the Champagne GRUET I agree (if it´s the same bottling sold here in Austria). Sure there are (much) better Champagnes but this is absolutuely OK for the price (but more than 15,-).
Also very good for the price is Veuve Monsigny and Charles Bach …

For all three: cellar it for 1-3 years, it´s for the benefit.

I think he’s referring to the Gruet from New Mexico
