Woah never seen this particular rosé cuvee, only the regular Bruno Clair (Marsannay?) Rosé. How was it?
It was a one-off edition, might only be a special label:
Is that a second rose label for muga or a rebrand? The previous years roses were already hit or miss depending on the year
This is a step up from their standard Rosado bottling that looks like this:
Twice the price, but as disappointing as the aforementioned.
For some reason I bought a couple Muga rose this year. I should have checked my notes from the past.
- 2024 Bodegas Muga Rioja Rosado - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (7/31/2025)
I found this perfectly acceptable, albeit a little clunky. It seems somewhat rugged, lacks the finesse of other Spanish roses and lacks the floral elegance of a Provence rose. I might hold my second bottle for next summer to see if it smooths out.. (88 points) - 2020 Bodegas Muga Rioja Rosado - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (7/23/2021)
This bottle was better than the previous one. The palate was rounder and less harsh. Still, not one of my preferred roses, the palate has a spicy almost bitter finish. (88 points) - 2020 Bodegas Muga Rioja Rosado - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (6/18/2021)
The nose is wonderful, melon, strawberry, cherry and minerals. The palate is spicy and slightly harsh. I wish the palate matched the nose. (86 points)

2024 Clos Cibonne Côtes de Provence Rosé Tentations
The well-regarded estate’s introductory Rose’ and it was really good. 40% Grenache, 40% Cinsault, 10% Syrah and 10% Tibouren. Pale pink color and made in a lighter style which is in contrast to this estates Cuvée Spéciale des Vignettes that I previous drank. Fresh, lively and refreshing. Perfect for Summer drinking. Notes of freshly picked strawberries and peaches. 90 points.

Henri Bonnaud Palette Rose
Now we are talking.
Crisp, aerial, with depth.
I am putting some aside to see how they age.
Just saw that Muga in Costco today and wondered…didn’t buy.
Domaine de la Sorba Ajaccio Rose
A Sciaccarellu dominant blend.
It drinks more like an orange wine.
Tart red fruit, wood, spice. Rich body, fleshy, chewy. Not a highlight.
I’ve been drinking the 2023 this summer and like what an additional year does to it.
Could definitely see that.
Murderer!
Wow - I can honestly say I’ve never had a Greek rosé - need to hunt some down.
