Jim, was that vineyard related to Neil?
Neil and Diana bought the vineyard in 1999. He sold it after the 2006 harvest.
And for Terry’s reference (and perhaps others), the Goldschmidt Vineyard is now the Winderlea Vineyard…
Yep, I actually did a little web research to confirm that, as I was loving that wine last evening!

Heard rumors that sold recently. No confirmation. Totally word of mouth and second hand but there seemed no reason not tomtrust the information. Cannot remember the alleged buyer. If this is wrong then so be it. Gossip-mongering.
Opened with a slightly oxidized, stewed note that quickly blew off. Reveled a nicely middle aged Dundee Hills pinot, asian spice, earthy, silky fruit with the start of an aged, savory component. Still has plenty of structure, tannic bite not fully resolved and acidic presence providing balance to the oregon fruit. Lovely terrior here still shining through after 20+ years.
Nope. Not wrong. Sold.
Yeah, this was on Oregonlive this morning:

Oh - they bought the whole thing! I thought it was just the vineyard. Congrats to Bill and Donna on their retirement.
2006 PGC Estate, Etzel Block. Yet another absolutely delicious 2006. I’m thinking this bottle won’t make tomorrow . . . . Just beautiful wine. It’s a challenge to pull my nose out of the glass. Cheers!!
