What natural wine did you open today?

Henri et Gilles Buisson Bourgogne Rouge. Organic, biodynamic. Yet another fantastic wine from Rosenthal. Just can’t seem to miss with him. For $30, this is fantastic.

Popped and poured. Bottle has no capsule or wax, perhaps indicating that this is meant to be drank young.

Pours a light scintillating ruby-red. The nose starts a bit reductive but then blossoms into ripe cherry, forest berry, and a lovely smoke. The rustic fruit is so lively as to be mistaken for a Beaujolais. The palate is a fine blend of fruit and savory notes that follow the palate, with riverbank stony minerality and light spice. The structure is perfect right now -- there is balanced acidity and just a brush of integrated tannins.

One of the finer Bourgogne Rouges I have tasted recently. Everything is just so well put together, glou glou with some nuance and complexity. (90 points)
