I love sparkling Loire Chenin. And at the price, ‘Jacky Blot’ is awfully hard to beat.

Since my wifes birthday is the 25th, the next day this year, I traditionally open up a La Grande Dame for her. Fortunately, Ive purchased many at less than $100 although the going rate from most sources is over that. This year, its the 90.

For some reason the L. Mawby wines from Michigan seem to appeal, so I think that’s where we’ll head.
