I was allowed to buy ONE (and only one) 375 ml. bottle of Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr 2021 Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese. Only a small quantity produced this vintage; thank you Johannes (Selbach)!
I managed to snatch a 375 ml. bottle of Dr. Hermann Erdener Prälat 2021 Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese in a free-for-all grab for 12 bottles (max one bottle/person - it was, however, anything but free).
Only 33 litres made for the 2021 vintage.

3 x 2018 Foillard 3.14 from a local cafe. As thrilled to find them as the owner was to sell them. 2018 was a ripe vintage but the previous (and only 3.14 I I had and tried out of impatience) was excellent but young. Excited to be able to revisit in 5, 10 years or more.

How dumb would it be to open the Rougeard straight away (just got the one ) ?
Robert banging on about the 2021 kabinetts had me sweating a bit (no pallets but have a few few bottles of some of the producers I like the most), and had to get a few more Stein wines. Luckily in Europe and able to order directly from Stein and ordered a few random bottles to help deplete some of the other wines there that doesn’t always move as fast, among other the Elbling which is terrific wine (had to ask Peter to add it as an orderable wine online previous time around). A captivating variety that deserves more hectares’ planted in Germany.
And to add, I am taking the cellar reduction (thread and my aim) as serious as I can, need to open a few more bottles in the coming days to keep things at break even…

I’ve had 14 Rougeard from 750ml twice and mag once. It’s a beautiful wine right now. Of course it has none of the tertiary characteristics you may be looking for, but the wine balances a variety of positive attributes including great purity of fruit, low pH, suave tannins, and somewhat classical green franc notes. I’ve enjoyed it greatly at each occasion, even if I won’t open any other bottles for a long time.
