You don’t find their older Chevillon pricing a little high?
@Jayson_Cohen It’s inconsistent but I thought a lot of the pricing in this email was pretty good. The LSG pricing is crazy good for the most part. '02 for $219. '10 for $249. It’s hard to imagine better values in today’s world, at least for me. By contrast, who would buy the '02 Vaucrains for $349? Just all over the map. Lafarge similarly inconsistent. The '10 Lafarge Ducs for $349 seems like a steal. But '02 Lafarge Ducs for $680 is steeeeep. But this is all par for the course with Benchmark, which has deals only if you’re careful. I’ve always had good luck with condition/provenance, which is of course a plus.
Agree-that’s not bad on 2002 LSG. 2010 a bit high. I must have unsubscribed to their emails a while back. The only thing I still get are alerts, and one is set to Chevillon Cailles. One came in today with 6 wines listed. List prices are higher except 2009 at $199 ok

awesome. Brings back memories! Cordier slayed it in this era.
I saw that cellar yesterday while browsing the site; it looked like some of the wines weren’t badly priced.

Re: Lignier CLDR: You got your 1 bottle from Astor?
Yeah, they were holding a few other bottles for me so figured I’d add one on. Had this last month and it’s legendary.

I just snared the last 2 at the same price at my store an hours drive south of you. They also have the Gaja at 19,97 but I’m just not feeling it with Nebbiolo right now.
Nice pick-up - the D’Issan was all gone at the Coon rapids store.
I’ve had several bottles of the Gaja, it’s nice and that’s a killer price (it’s $97 at Total Wine!)
I was just poking around and didn’t mean to spend any money today…

sounds like WHWC got someone.
Once I tasted a 1977 Weinert Malbec and it was beautiful. Since I have never found any Malbecs worth drinking, and at one horrific tasting of more than a dozen, I found myself longing for the more natural flavors of Bazooka bubble gum.
But I am told by a close friend whose palate I trust that Weinert is back and they have a Unico type wine brought out in only great years. I found magnums of the 1994 in London at £100 each and bought some.
