A mystery box of wines. . .
I have an acquaintance who is moving out of the country and did not want to take his small wine stash of 20 + bottles with him. He didnât want any money, but i gave him a few bucks, sight unseen, just from his description of about half being decent (and he gave me a couple of examples), and the rest being everyday low priced wines. I made an inventory after he dropped them off. Just as he described them, and almost all from Costco or Trader Joeâs. Almost all singles. Interesting set.

No, I havenât. Iâve had the original releases of both, but not the P2 or the Cristal late release. In fact, I havenât even had the original releases side by side.

I was just curious as you compared the prices between the two. Most searches on cellartracker have the prices pretty much the same between the 2.
I paid more for the P2, but I had a K&L credit to burn, so I didnât think too hard about the price difference.

The Montille Corton âClos du Roiâ 2022 is currently at CA $399.75 and the stocks are not moving fast. I seldom e bought any wine from the Montille as it is not my preferred producer due the high price and the style - hope you life it. For me, it is the opposite to David Croix ( or Domaine Des Croix - an 2 grapes Estate.
