It’l be a little while as I have quite a few bottles to post on IG, some of them make it here as well..
But we had it yesterday. Solera blend from 18-22, the texture is multidimensional with lemon, salt and crushed rocks arriving in waves. Really well integrated oak. Phenolics are ripe. Insane wine, for me in a class with the absolute best aligotes.
Languedoc, a newish name on the scene. Natural leanings, small production (or as the French say confidentielles), all bottles are numbered. All fresh, elegant wines. The top wine Arsis is a grenache, more like Burgundy than hot South. The Altus open right now grenache blanc + clairette wouldn’t be out of place in a ChdP blanc line up, only with less heat. The l’Assemblage is a perfectly fine noncerebral red blend. Maybe the carignan was a bit bland, but I never had a really convincing 100% carignan (including Renaudin). I still have to open the terret. All 20 something eur, only Arsis (now also in white) priced higher. I am convinced.
