I haven’t posted any notes but it’s a nice wine; I like the ech a bit more but they’re both great. Ech has a bit more spice.
It looks like the ech is sold out. 24+ of the vougeot left at the discounted price.
Besides BD 17 purchases:
2016 Heitz Cellar Martha’s Vineyard
2023 Philip Togni Vineyard Cabernet
2023 001 Vintners Ecotone Vineyard Merlot
2023 Fait Main Tierra Roja Vineyard
2023 Fait Main Las Piedras Vineyard
2023 Realm Cellars The Bard
2025 Realm Cellars Fidelio
All should be delivered in the spring after winter is over. Now I should be done buying wines for a long time (fingers crossed)
I know it’s below your usual level, but any thoughts on the Gros Vosne-Romanee?
Have never had it, but would assume it’s good,
Thanks!

Still in pursuit of my goal to put together a survey of all Vosne 1ers for future me:
2020 Arnoux-Lachaux Les Suchots
2021 Meo-Camuzet Aux Brûlées
4x 23 Berthaut-Gerbet Les Clos
Extradimensional Winter Release Wines
3 2024 Mariana’s Chardonnay
1 2023 Mariana’s CF (couldn’t resist another bottle for the cellar)
2 2024 Shake Ridge Mourvèdre
So that was you. I was on the phone with Haley and she thought they had 4 bottles left and put me on hold for a minute. No dice!
Enjoy!
There were 4 bottles left when I checked out ![]()
I wasn’t quick enough on the draw. Oh well, maybe next time.
There were 8 this morning
Six assorted 2023 Patricia Green Cellars PN estate (Patty’s, Bonshaw, Wadensvil and Old Vine) wines, in magnum. My very first PGC magnum purchase.
Coming up on 68 years on this planet, I am not all certain that I will be around to open any of them (have some 750s of each) and that’s perfectly fine. My strategy is to have my daughter inherit some really nice wines and, at the same time, not have to worry about them continuing to silently and gracefully age in the cellar. These magnums should definitely fit that bill. Hope to continue to purchase handfuls of 2024 and 2025 PGC magnums, along with some Goodfellow magnums.
That’s my wine “strategery” and I’m sticking to it! ![]()
1996 Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires Crayères. Disgorged in 2021 after just 24 short years on the lees. 9 g/l dosage. 4000 btls available worldwide. Probably serviceable.
