Like @Jay_Miller, on Sunday I needed to fill out Wine Bid purchases for shipping: for me it was a half-case of my first Wine Bid purchases in over 3 years, now en route.
Adding to recent purchases of 2 2021 Max Kilburg Goldtropfchen Kabinett, 1 1987 Forman Cab, and 1 2011 Barge Cote-Rotie Cuvee du Plessy, I won a bottle each of 1977 BV Georges de Latour and 1977 Clos du Val Reserve. I will soon be well stocked for an upcoming Cal Cab dinner.
Is it just me or are winebid prices starting to seem a bit more reasonable these days?

Funny you mention that, I was just looking and was thinking the same and put in a few bids. Sadly you vultures had already put in bids that were above my comfort zone lol.

Not the wines I am watching. Lots of examples, but this one in the current auction is really bumming me out: the 82 Magdelaine for almost $300 including BP and tax?!?!

There are much fewer Bordeaux bargains than there used to be although there still are where folks perceive a wine to be from a lesser vintage and it isn’t really.
Yes, the global supply of Magdelaine appears to have shrunk considerably in the last 3 years. This is not surprising, but yes it it frustrating for those of us who are always on the look out for more Magdelaine
I bought 6 bottles of the 1982 Magdelaine ar auction nearly 3 years ago and it was about half this price.

Curiously, what are good prices for Dureuil-Janthial in Europe?

I paid 45 EUR / btl for both the Maizieres and Chenes and 90 EUR for the Puligny. Have not managed to find any Meix Cadot yet (without location restriction) but my 22s I paid 55 EUR for.

I paid 49 for mine (a caveau in France, without online presence). I had the 2023s offered for 55.
