1x 2021 Ramey Wine Cellars Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard
2x 2014 Louis Boillot Gevrey-Chambertin Cherbaudes
A couple Dauvissat/Vincent Chablis 1er cru La Forest 2018
Was 2018 a bit warmer?
I’ve been on a Leoville-Poyferre kick lately. Had an 09 that left me scratching my head recently by how brilliant it was. Just picked up the ‘16, ‘19 and ‘20 to lay down for the long term.
Love it. Have you tried other Viret? Only had one or two but both were great.
No, a new name for me. Recommendation of the Caviste.
That’s what I understand and it does have body but also great mineral oyster shell, citrus clean yellow fruit. The ripping acidity is what got me. Not the greatest vintage but I will take them!
Those aren’t grocery store wines!
3x 2021 Kinsman Eades Cabernet Sauvignon Käännös
2x 2019 Ceritas Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Peter Martin Ray Vineyard
2x 2018 Ceritas Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Peter Martin Ray Vineyard
2x 2017 Ceritas Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Peter Martin Ray Vineyard
2 x LaLu Barolo Le Coste di Monforte 2020
Jumping blindly on the hype-train here - anyone tried?
We need to switch from our grocery stores to MaciejK’s grocery store!
Actually, some of those are! The French certainly got their supermarkets right. Once we got going, the shopping frenzy continued in a nearby Caveau.
If I could I would switch too. There are dangers, though. So suppose you feel like Saumur but all you find is this
Except there is no Pierre Chanau, that‘s a fantasy name for anonymous bottlings for Auchan.
(Not as evil as it sounds, true to the varietal, drinkable.)
I’ve had their 2020 Barbera and enjoyed it. I have a ‘19 Barolo that I picked up at K&L, but haven’t tried.
Please let me know if you pop this.
I have several of their Langhe Nebbiolos around the cellar.
Going to the offsite in Denmark (I live in Vienna currently), so unfortunately not popping any time soon
I recently saw on offer for the La Rogerie Bourg Sud. Have you tried it?
Thanks,
Warren
Haven’t tried it yet but have opened several lieu de vie. This is a solid grower with amazing terroir, i highly recommend!
