Most retailers I’ve asked in the U.S. have allocated Gisela or limited to 2-3 bottles. Some of the other bottlings have been less restrictive.

Guess thats just a perk you get from living in EU and neighbouring Germany :slightly_smiling_face:

I have seen limits on various sites though. But i was still able to find places that allowed purchases of 6-12 of each, of the top cuvees, without any previous purchases.

The other Dutch source probably still have them, I picked up 7 bottles a week or two ago (placed the order before the summer).

Seemed like they were going quite fast with restaurants picking them up.

I think the Fuders they use are 960 Liters (as most Mosel Fuder are). Though Lars’s page mentions two Halbfuders at least existing.

 quite limited. Is it normal that >25% of all production of such wine appears in CT? Halbfuders will be half of that then making 1 whole together?

That’s correct. Gisela ferments in a Fuder, which is about 1,000 liters (or 1,300 bottles).

Most of the production is “quite limited,” because each selection is a single cask wine.

Caught up in the excitement, I bought a fair amount of German wine this weekend. A handful of bottles at the actual auction, but a lot in the normal market.

Some 2021 ggs including magnums, backfilling Prum GK, and a couple of bottles of Schaefer.
