For me it is 2003 Monbousquet that I got in case quantity for a real good deal. Also could consider Carlisle as the house brand as I have well over 50 bottles with more on the way.
The only stuff I have in quantity that I would consider as ‘house wine’ is probably Windy Oaks Pinot Noir. Everyone keeps telling me that they will be better with age but I love them now so I usually deplete my stockpile in the run-up to their next open house event.
For a while the 2004 Chateau Cantelys was my house Bordeaux and I may still grab several more. Probably the best QPR 04 around at under $20.
Bingo.
Alesia’s + my own brews = happy house

It helps that my wife is in the industry. ![]()
120 bottles of Carlisle with 24 more on the way. But by the time they come I’ll undoubtedly have consumed at least 15 bottles.
My former house wine, now all gone, was the 1999 Lafleur de Bouard of which I got 60 bottles on release.
Probably Jean Laurent’s range of Champagnes, Delamottes Vintage BdB’s, or Gloria Ferrer’s sparkling range. We go through a lot of all three. More than any other producer.
Thoughts on the '99. I was offered some at what seems like a good price here locally.
Baller!
Back in '06 we were selling 2003 Monbousquet for $60. Don’t know what deal you got, but hope it was awesome.
My house wine is a little IGT, Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona, Toscana '06. About $10 and great. I am coming to the end of that and plan on replenishing with the NOI Negociants Nero d’Avola that we just picked up that’s fantastic and about $13.
Actually it was possible to get 2003 Mon on futures for $35, but I didn’t bite. Since heard that there might be some brett issues.
Big soft oaky wine when I’ve had it. Garagiste sold it for ~$40 a year or so ago. Maybe I’ll bring my last bottle up for Lando to chug in Napa. ![]()
A touch of brett…nowhere in the amount of Rhones though. I got my OWC bottles all in for right at $400 a case.
Nice catch. Some of the CT notes speak nicely of it.
This was nice. I liked it. The nose promised a bigger wine than the palate delivered, but still nice. Dark sweet fruit on the nose and a some integrated oak with dark fruit on the palate. Soft and nice.
Great deal, Tex. Hats off to ya! ![]()
I liked it.
Our house wines (which for me is anything I buy at least half a case of a year) are generally high acid reds like Lapierre Morgon and Cameron’s Willamette Valley (or his other $20ish cuvée) Pinot. These are wines that complement a pretty wide range of foods. House pinks are Amestoi Rubentis Txakolina and Tempier rosé.
I don’t think we’ve ever really had a house white. Steve?
No house reds - too many reds backed up.
House whites include Huet Vouvray Sec (almost w/o/r/t vintage or vineyard) and Scholium Naucratis. The last two years, house rose was Bastide Blanche Bandol
Don’t really have one to tell you the truth. I’m all over the place. The wine I have the most of is Quilceda Creek at 42 bottles but it’s not like I’m going to crack open a dozen next time Uncle Bowling Shirt and Aunt Bouffon show up. ![]()
I liked it.
I should try it sometimes. The '98 was really good, but somehow I lost tough with the wine after that.
Red: 2007 Fontanafredda Piemonte Barbera Briccotondo ($10)
White: 2007 Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay Vintner’s Reserve ($12)
As far as we’re concerned, great, great values and always enjoyable, with and without food.
