Yep. Great stuff, but not really that much better than the #10. Get both!

And while I didn’t “buy” it this week, a box showed up on the doorstep today:

A monumental Riesling and as good as wine gets anywhere in the world. I have drunk three bottles already and am worried about only having nine left. Yikes.

I tasted the 10 Muller Kabinett the previous week from a bottle that Salil shared with me. It is high acid and very very good. Drinks like more like a spatlese.

drank the 2010 kabinett on saturday night. great wine that has a bit more energy and a bit less fruit than the 2009.

a 2010 JJ Prum Spat on deck for tonight–don’t remember right now which one, but looking forward to it, as I like high acid. I’ll swirl it well or decant to de-sulfur it. Bought it a couple weeks ago.

I jumped on 2008 St. Urbans-Hof Ockfener Bockstein Spatlese at my local Grocery Outlet ($8.99 a bottle). I’m going to try it tonight.

I wouldn’t trust those guys you get on the phone. They may be out now, but I bought a couple bottles of that 3 weeks ago. The inventory on the Spats was low, but there were at least a few Kirshhecks left, a few Brucke, and maybe 1 or 2 Hermannshohle. They got a bunch of 2010 Donnhoff Estate in which are really good. Hoping they manage to get a few 2010 Spatlese in, but not holding my breath.
