What did you drink during Bathurst?

We kicked off with a cheeky Lafon 08 Macon Milly-Lamartine ‘Clos du Four’ that was honeyed, lightly tropical and had a whip of minerally acidity to clean up the finish. Worried into opening another 04 Fevre ‘Les Clos’ all good, move along. A 2007 Jean-Marc Pillot Chassagne Rouge had really vibrant cherry fruits and finished with cherry stone minerality. The 1998 Marcarini Barolo ‘La Serra’ is absolutely ready. There are tar and leather notes coupled with a little chocolate and cherry action. It is well balanced and finishes with savoury nuance.

Thanks for the explanation. I was going to suggest drinking Spätlese with Bratwurst until I read the title more carefully.
